Nothing but frustration today. Job sucks horribly. Weather humid as hell. Roommate has an OCD houseguest who is getting on my nerves. He refuses to refill the cat's water dish (which sits in the bathtub, long story) after he showers, leaving a small cranky furry creature without water in the middle of July. Asshole. He's here all week. Woo.
- So, Sony actually ended up pulling those kinda racist ads.
- I may break my no-TV rule to watch Stan Lee's reality show about people who think they have superpowers. Wow.
- I love this... it's like a victrola for modern iPod nerds: the iDeck
- Today I discovered geek boutique Fractalspin. I dig stupid crap like ethernet cable bracelets and snotty DJ pins. And yes, some Nintendo candy is on its way to my house now. But what the hell... when did duct tape go posh? I knew people made wallets but this is ridiculous.
- People are weird. Especially when sheep and Central Park come into play. Poor sheep!!
- What the... who are these people?? I love that this guy took pictures of idiot PDA dryhumpers (the one where his friends are waving is my fave). And it's true, I don't smoke or do drugs, and rarely drink anymore (more because I'm anti-social than anything else), and I get compliments on my skin all the time. Of course, there comes a point where looking young is kind of a curse and people don't take you seriously... but I'm sure that's my gruppiness shining through.
- WHY does everyone love Owen Wilson?? I've always loathed him, and his new flick looks dismal. Props to Slate for bringing up the Butterscotch Stallion in their review of You, Me & DuPree: ""But even the presence of the Butterscotch Stallion can't sweeten this bland compendium of rom-com clichés."
- Damn, China sure has a lot of anti-Japanese advertising. I have friends who are way into China but I have never been impressed. I seem to be a purely Nippon-flavored egg.
- PZ is my new rock star: "...in all the theological texts, in all the dogma I was committing to memory, there wasn't even the tiniest fraction of the beauty and joy and truth I could find in one short article on insect biomechanics..."
- Remaking Adventures in Babysitting is WRONG, JUST WRONG! I bet they won't even put Thor in the new one. But that's fineRaven-Symone doesn't deserve Thor.
- Haha, as an editor, this makes me smile: popular grammar errors that really aren't wrong.
- More birds, this time from Charles Harper. I dig.
- Bollywood comics!

Butterscotch Stallion.lol.John and I saw the Dupri preview and he asked me, "Oh is THAT Luke Wilson's brother?" ..."Which one do you like, Luke?" At which point, i turned to him straight faced and said "Oh, no, he's all Kate's. I'm an Owen girl."..he looked blankly at me for a moment, blinked after some consideration and turned his head back to the screen. After a moment he turned back again with an exasperated, "Really?"
lol damn right. i can see how Owen's potential attractiveness could be mystifying to males... hell, it's mystifying to me. Luke is threatening in traditional ways. ;)Ah, Luke.
